Technology knows no borders The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County are using the TITAN CMS and SmartSearch to power the nation's first-ever combined city/county Web presence. For the first time, citizens do not need to know which body of government performs a particular service. They only need to go to either the city or county site – or to www.milwaukee.gov -- to search a combined data repository. Behind the scenes, the manual search intervention features of Northwoods SmartSearch allows city and county personnel to assign specific information to commonly-used search criteria. The city and county now provides better access to information, and also save taxpayer dollars by sharing the TITAN CMS and SmartSearch, combined servers and Internet infrastructure.  Innovation Award
