Northwoods Titan SmartSearch™ transforms the way our clients provide search results on their public web sites, intranets and extranets.  SmartSearch™ automatically captures and tracks search words that site visitors use to query your site, and allow you to map these keywords (and their common misspellings) to hand picked URLs.

Northwoods Titan SmartSearch™ harvests information on your internal searches and allows visitors to:

• Easily locate information for which they are searching 
  Content search within one or all localities
  Defining specific pages to display first when a keyword is entered 
  Record visitor searches and the pages clicked on from the search page
  
  The Titan SmartSearch™ enhancement feature to Titan CMS™ can be broken down into two areas:
• Workstation Controlled Search Results through the use of "WordSets"
• Integrating with DT Search Results including spell checking

Workstation Controlled Search Results
The Workstation Controlled Search Results portion of the Titan SmartSearch™ allows the Titan CMS™ Workstation user to:

• Create 'Keyword' and 'Misspelled Keyword' "WordSets". WordSets are a list of single words or phrases with an unlimited number words/phrases.
• Analyze Public facing Website search words/phrases by website or all websites.
• Analyze Public facing Website(s) search words/phrases by date ranges. Dates may be manually entered or through a calendar icon.
• Analyze Public facing Website search words/phrases that are not already associated or defined in a WordSet.
• Obtain a list of words/phrases end users have searched on including:
• Word/phrase
• Number of Unique Searches
• Average number of results per search
• Whether the word/phrase as been associated/defined in a WordSet.
• Sort the above list
• Maintain the above list as read-only and informational-only.
• Define the directed or controlled end user search results to include Titan CMS™ pages within one or more websites within Titan CMS™.
• Define the directed or controlled end user search results to include external to Titan CMS™ links.
• Define the directed or controlled end user search results to include a teaser description separate from the Titan CMS™ page description associated with that page.
• Define the directed or controlled end user search results including the order in which the search result links are presented.
• Define the directed or controlled end user search results to include removing an existing search results link.

Integrating with DT Search Results
Integrating with DT Search Results portion of the Titan SmartSearch™ allows the Titan CMS™ Workstation user to:

• Search for words/phrases in one or more Titan CMS™ driven websites based on user security.
• Search for more than one word operating as follows:
• When performing a SmartSearch for WordSets, only the exact phrase or misspelled phrase will match.
• When performing a DT Search, standard DT functionality is available: searching by phrase (default), Boolean search logic, etc.
• Display all links from all WordSets sorted across all matching WordSets
• Provide directed or controlled page listing for search results
• Display normal DT Search results through software interface support.
• Hyperlink at the bottom of the search results page displaying in the format "See more results for?"
• Direct or control search results pagination.
• Receive a Document/Page Title for each result listed.
• Receive a brief description for each result listed.
• Receive the word/phrase entered.
• Receive a total of search results found.
• Receive a word/phrase entered that is not associated or defined in a "Misspelled Keywords" WordSet.
• Display the description entered by a Workstation Administrator as part of the search results for each directed or controlled search result listed.
• See only what pages the end user has the security rights to see.
• Display DTSearch results with context of the word/phrase being searched for.
• Record visitor searches and the pages they clicked on from the search page.
